Expansion Hurricane Bay

The water park “Hurricane Bay” at Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom will get a makeover this winter as part of what its officials describe as the largest investment in the tourist attraction’s 16-year history.

New lounge chairs and an interactive play area for toddlers will be added to Hurricane Bay, which will be 10 percent to 15 percent larger. The park calls it a “multimillion-dollar” investment.

A new water ride will be added and it isn’t in use at any other Six Flags property. They described the ride as “a first of its kind in the region” that will employ “cutting-edge technology.” Construction starts within a month and it will be ready by memorial day.
